Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on bowling and arcade equipment.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, changing filters, and replacing worn components.
  3. Perform routine inspections of bowling lanes, pinsetters, scoring systems, and other equipment to identify and address potential issues.
  4. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to perform maintenance work.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to schedule repairs and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  6. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repair logs, parts inventory, and equipment manuals.
  7. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  8. Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
  9. Respond promptly to emergency situations and resolve issues promptly to prevent further damage or downtime.
  10. Continuously look for opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a bowling alley and arcade or similar recreational facility.
  • Strong knowledge of arcade games and bowling alley mechanics, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in an industrial setting.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.
