Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision and efficiency, adhering to quality and safety standards. This role requires a passion for food preparation, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and portion specifications.
  2. Cook food items in various kitchen equipment such as fryers, and burns.
  3. Knowing the metric system, being able to measure accurately for recipes.
  4. Ensure food is cooked consistently and plated attractively, following presentation guidelines.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment.
  6. Monitor food inventory and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  7. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and handling of food.
  8. Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient and timely food production.
  9. Assist with menu planning and development as directed by the chef or kitchen manager.
  10. Follow company policies and procedures regarding food preparation, quality, and safety.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

 

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
  2. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  3. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in food preparation and presentation.
  5. Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently.
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  7. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Culinary school diploma or equivalent training.
  2. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

 

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) for extended periods.
  2. Stamina to work long hours in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
